ooer.. had a wee bit of a trauma listening to this, had some troubles with the CD so Andy popped me over the MP3s (hopefully I'm reviewing them in the right order)..
01 all right our kid.. off to a flying start with a return to form from everyone's favourite lary northerners.. or is it? it's not really like their old stuff, it's more late 60's guitar pop (the Kinks?) with a touch of spaghetti western in there too; the "obvious Beatles influence" of before just isn't there. top tune though, I'm tempted to invest in the album.
02 yes. disco. OK, so it's a classic.. umm..
03 h'mm.. the last was disco, now synthy-pop? is there something you want to tell us? it's better than the dodgy remake, and the nod to the Seoul olympics in the video always appealed to my sense of humour..
04 mash-tastic! yeh, I like this a lot.. cos it's clever.. and it appeals to the music geek in me..
05 a classic slab of 60's guitar rock..
06 you hippy..
07 I'd not heard any of this fella before.. I like it, I like it a lot.
08 ahh.. this lot again
I like em, top album too..
09 what the fudge.. who? what? ohh.. it's them! good, but I like they're "Tupac Shakur" skit better..
10 top.. umm.. radish? no.. thingy.. wossname.. who are you anyway?
11 just what the hell are "ballanital chancroids" anyway? or should I not ask?
12 genius.. absolute genius.. it's not a tune but it's comedy gold. I think I've made it as far as
#4 before ;D
13 ooh, this is nice. it's poppy, but not.. good voice, nice beat, good foot-tapping stuff.. [has a look on Google] ohh, so that's who it is.. nice.
14 top tune.. though this version sounds like I'm listening to it through my neighbours wall.
15 this is you isn't it?
weirdly enough it reminds me of Kraftwerk.. go figure..
as usual it's not all tuneage with Andy's compo.. some gems, some not, but worth it for a couple of choice
(IMHO) tracks.. I ran the title through
Free Translation as well, still none the wiser..
