Weekend at Thorney Islands watching lunatics in hot rods and custom cars scream down a track at speed warp f***** madnss.
Never realised hot rods went hand in DA haircut with rockabilly music. Dear Gods over the PA morning & noon, and at night, live rockabilly.
Got sooo pissed the first night i bought the live bands (Planet Boppers) CD, haven't had the nerve to play it yet mind. Second night things looked up, with a wet tshirt competition and then, yep more live rockabilly. Fantastic weekend though, highly recomend it.
Fastest hotrod? on Saturday it was a Fiat 126 - with a 5.6 litre V8 engine. Slowest was some thingy on a mini motorbike - 28 secs
