A couple of emails this morning got me thinking about classic Scandal's floorfillers, tunes the DJ would play that got the massed drunken crowd jumping up and down like loons in that infamous cramped space. Over the years there have some real corking, and some now deeply embarrassing, tunes that got us moving, maybe even enough to fill a compilation CD.
H'mm, now there's an idea.
Anyway, between my bro and I so far we've got:
Rozalla - Everybody's Free Dee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart James - Sit Down (yes, I know) New Radicals - You Get What You Give The Clash - Should I Stay Or Should I Go/Rock The Casbah (played back to back, obviously)
Got any more?

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out Good choice. I dimly recall drunkenly thumping the ceiling, banging my hand along to the beat, whenever that gets played. After watching Grease yesterday Sean suggested the Grease Megamix (who can forget drunkenly hand-clapping along to the Grease Lightning bit?). I'm sure he mentioned another one but I can't remember it, however Bakes emailed me with his nomination; the most excellent Jump Around by House of Pain. Excellent.

I've only ever been there once, in the height of summer, so my only two memories of it are :
1) It was like an oven and people were fighting (not literally) to stand next to the open door for some air, and...
2) my missus putting her arm around my shoulder while holding a bottle of beer, and pouring it all down my shirt front, to the strains of "How Soon Is Now" by The Smiths, so that's my suggestion!
