Brett whistling In A Gadda Da Vida this morning set off a quick but feisty debate in the office as to who was the greater Hannibal Lecter. I argued that Brian Cox subtle yet scarifying performance in [a href=" Manhunter"] Manhunter[/a] was levels above Anthony Hopkins pantomime portrayal in Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. Brett and Andy decried this point of view, declaring that Sir Anthony's take on the role was scarier (the creepy eyes help apparently). Well, it's a good enough excuse for a poll as any I thought, so here we are. Pass the Chianti.

So who played him in the remake of Manhunter, Red Dragon?!
And am i alone in thinking that the Silence of the Lambs wasn't in the least bit scary?
And just time for a quick joke, they're remaking S.o.t.L, based in Liverpool, it'll be called...
Shut It Ewes

So who played him in the remake of Manhunter, Red Dragon?! That was Anthony Hopkins again; Lecter appears more in the film of Red Dragon than he does in the book or in Manhunter (can't think why, ahem). And am i alone in thinking that the Silence of the Lambs wasn't in the least bit scary? Well, if I'd not read the book it probably would've been scarier for me, but it's still got its scary moments (Ted Levine dancing for example, ooer).

Dave...You spout faeces like it was your job....Oh it is! A 1950's chip shop owner vs Tony H If you watch in chronological order it also adds to his portrayal
