OK, so not Mr Smith's favourite band (and I prefer the first album way over the second) but the clean-cut chaps in Coldplay have a new long player forthcoming.. and I've heard some of it (courtesy of scenestars.net, though they had to take the link to the MP3 down PDQ because those nice people at EMI weren't too happy).
How does it sound? Well, if you've ever heard anything by Coldplay then you're halfway there. It's very much like what has gone before, and is fairly inoffensive to that end.
The interesting bit, which both scenestars.net and the NME mention, is that it's blatantly nicked the riff from Computer Love by Kraftwerk (though Mr Paltrow and chums have 'fessed up to this).
It's worth a listen, though I doubt it's going to make Craig a convert to their cause.
