The Calendar function of the forum now features information on local gigs (for local people) that you may find of interest (there's pretty much something for everyone).
The Calendar is available for all forum members to interrogate; the option to access it only appears once you've logged in, via the icon atop the page, thus:
Alternatively clicking on an entry in the Events This Month section of the Information Center on the main forum page (which also appears only once you've logged in) will take you direct to the calendar entry for that gig.
Each gig entry on the Calendar includes the following information:
Where available I've also included additional venue information, support act details and hyperlinks to band/venue websites. Also, where applicable, I've added weblinks to venue box offices/ticket bureaux so you can click through the Calendar entry to buy tickets online.
The information on the Calendar is as up to date as possible; if gigs sell out, are cancelled or rescheduled, the Calendar should reflect this. However, I'm only human so I may not catch them all (so no bleating to me if you can't get Bucks Fizz tickets because they've sold out).
Likewise, despite my endless foraging across the internet, it's possible that I'll not pick up on a gig here or there. If, therefore, there's any local gigs (or other events) you think might be of interest let me know and I'll add them in.
And if that wasn't enough, the Calendar displays forum member's birthdays too. I'm to good to you people, really I am.
