well, a few of these ring a bell.. Gram Parsons / Flying Buritos Sondre Lerche Songs of Junior Kimbrough Mike Ladd - Hip Hop Four Tet Andrew Bird Wolf Parade I've got Rounds by Four Tet, excellent it is too (have Banto to thank for introducing me to them), I'll have to pick up the new CD sometime soon. I also have here, somewhere, the combined GP\Grevious Angel CD (which is pretty good) and The Infesticons fantastic Gun Hill Road (which Stu pointed me in the direction of, courtesy of one of his original Music Club CDs; I've not got any other Mike Ladd stuff though I'm afraid). Both Andrew Bird and Wolf Parade get mentioned on The Decemberists forum (come to think of it, so do a few other bands you've listed). If you're quick then you might be able to pick up tasters of both Wolf Parade and the Songs of Junior Kimbrough CDs at Said The Gramophone. As for Sondre Lerche, I saw him at the Wedge ages ago as support for [insert name of forgotten headline act here] and he was excellent (if a bit mumbly between songs, so we weren't sure who he was until sometime after the gig). H'mm.. now what's coming out soon that catches my fancy..

Dave, the new Westlife cd is out, i know you were keeping an eye out for it... yeeeees.. I think that's more Ali's bag of donuts actually fella as for me.. well, I had a bit of a think and there's a few CDs either incoming or already out there that tickles my fancy.. so I must be good and continue to try and exercise a modicum of self-control, otherwise my bank account would suffer a serious meltdown (as I buy them I'll mark them off in yellow)... My Morning Jacket - 'Z' Kate Bush - 'Aerial' (it's good, eccentric stuff.. not sure if it was quite worth the 12 year wait though)Arcade Fire - 'Funeral' (thank you Santa)Death Cab For Cutie - 'Plans'Diefenbach - 'Set and Drift' The Bad Plus - 'Suspicious Activity' Neutral Milk Hotel - 'In the Aeroplane Over the Sea' Editors - 'The Back Room'Architecture in Helsinki - 'In Case We Die' (only £4.99 in MVC)The Subways - 'Young for Eternity' Alice Russell - 'Under The Munka Moon' Boards of Canada - 'The Campfire Headphase'The New Pornographers - 'Twin Cinema' Sufjan Stevens - 'Illinoise' Pure Reason Revolution - 'Cautionary Tales for the Brave' Múm - 'Yesterday was dramatic - Today is OK' Imogen Heap - 'Speak For Yourself' Metric - 'Live It Out' Okkervil River - 'Black Sheep Boy' A.C. Newman - 'The Slow Wonder' M83 - 'Before The Dawn Heals Us' Tord Gustavsen Trio - 'The Ground' Madeski Martin & Wood - 'End Of The World Party' Laura Veirs - 'Year of Meteors' Dogs Die In Hot Cars - 'Please Describe Yourself' Sons & Daughters - 'The Repulsion Box'Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - 'Howl' The Walls - 'New Dawn Breaking'Blindfold (Stafraenn Hakon) - 'Blindfold' The Free Design - 'The Now Sound Redesigned' Fruit Bats - 'Spelled In Bones' The Boy Least Likely To - 'The Best Party Ever' Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - 'Clap Your Hands Say Yeah' Albert Kuvezin & Yat-Kha - 'Re-Covers' Broadcast - 'Tender Buttons' Gemma Hayes - 'The Roads Don't Love You'Oranger - 'New Comes and Goes' ..yes, just a bit of a wish-list there the trouble is that, as soon as I walk into a record shop, I completely forget what it is I went in there for and end up buying something completely different instead. my trouble is that I'm too easily distracted by "the shiny things" in life..
