That bastion of independent journalism, The Guardian, is running an offer to collect four of " the most influential albums ever", for free. The promotion runs for the next four weeks with, obviously, a different CD each week. The action kicked off yesterday with the first offering, Stevie Wonder's 1973 album, Innervisions. The other albums, picked out by the Grauniad, as being the most influential (for this offer) are: Velvet Underground - Velvet Underground and NicoMarvin Gaye - What's Going OnR.E.M. - ReckoningIn order to get your grubby little mitts on a free CD all you need do is collect four different mastheads (y'know, the logo bit) from the front of The Guardian. The mastheads must all be dated differently and be from the paper between Monday to Friday of this week. All you need do then is pop them in an envelope, with the coupon printed in the paper, and send them on their way. Of course, there are rules and regs to all this, which are printed in the paper with more details of the offer. Makes a change from the crummy 70's pap compilations the tabloids give away at the weekends anyhow.
