The headliners for the Beaulieu Summer Pops 06 have been announced. Sat 1st July - Simply RedSun 2nd July - The Australian Pink FloydMon 3rd July - The WhoTickets for the Summer Pops are available from Ticketmaster, priced at £38.50 (standing), £48.50 (grandstand seating) and a staggering £172 (VIP area) for Simply Red and The Who. Tickets for The Australian Pink Floyd are available at a slightly more reasonable £22.50 (standing) and £32.50 (grandstand seating).

There's an item on NME.COM regarding The Who's forthcoming European Tour; they're going to be bootlegging themselves! Why? Because, as Pete Townshend says on his website, "[they] fudging well can". Apparently every date (so I'm guessing this will include Beaulieu, though it's not on the NME's list) will be recorded and offered via CD, DVD, BitTorrent and (wait for it) podcasts via iTunes. The proceeds from the sales will go to charity. There will also be webcasts of portions of each show they do, proceeds from the sales of which will go to local charities.
